Australia Day

As we will be returning from school straight after Australia Day, I'll be brining in books from the library that link to dreamtime stories.

 I'll ask the students to write their own narrative based on a dreamtime story of their choice and make artworks linked to their story. 

This can also be extended into dance and students can work in groups to make their own dreamtime dance.

Happy 2015. I've been very busy in last few months so have decided, I'll post twice a week each week until the end of this year. 

This year I'm on a 5/6 composite class and to start the year off, the students are only in class Wednesday and Thursday. My display boards are drab and I want to cover them immediately, so we are going to be talking about what we want to get out of the school year and writing ideas on post it notes. A perfect, fuss free PSED lesson that can extend into drama and talking and listening as the children present their ideas. :)
